 진영 구시가지 중심부를 동서로 관통하던 경전선이 2010년 12월 폐쇄됨에 따라 신시가지와 구시가지간의 도시 불균형이 심화되었고, 그를 해결하기 위해 단절을 야기하던 진영역 경전선 철도부지는 공원화되었다.

 대상 대지는 공원과 시가지 사이에 공원화되지 못했고 애매하게 남은 상가들은 공실률이 높은 채 방치되고 있으며, 공원을 등진 채 하나의 벽처럼 역사 공원으로의 시선 및 동선의 단절을 야기하며 구 시가지와 연계성을 낮추고 있다.

 따라서 진영역사 공원 방면 시선 및 동선의 단절 문제의 해결방안을 다음과 같은 방안으로 제시하고자 한다.

먼저, 진영 구시가지와 역사공원의 동선을 직접적으로 이어 도시공간과의 근접성 및 공원 연결성을 높이는 데 초점을 두었다. 

해당 대지는 10m X 110m의 좁은 건물폭으로 공원 이용자와 인접 가로 이용자 시선에 노출되어 개방적인 공간이 되고, 시선 및 동선의 만남을 이어주어 서로 마주보며 소통 가능한 커뮤니티 공간으로 만들고자 한다.

: Old Jinyoung Station Revitalization Project

As the light rail line, which penetrated the center of Jinyoung Old Town from east to west, was closed in December 2010, the urban imbalance between the new and old cities intensified, and the site of Jinyoung Station Light Line Railway, which caused the break, was parked.

The site has not been parked between the park and the city, and the remaining shops are left with a high vacancy rate, causing a break in gaze and movement toward the old station park like a wall, lowering their connection with the old city.

Therefore, it is intended to propose a solution to the problem of disconnection of gaze and movement in the direction of Jinyoung Station Park as follows:

First, the focus was on directly following the movement of Jinyoung Old Town and old station Park, increasing proximity to urban space and park connectivity.

The site is 10m x 110m wide and exposed to the eyes of park users and adjacent street users, and aims to make it a community space that can communicate with each other by connecting the eyes and movements.
